We live in a unique part of the country which seems to transform itself every season, and Autumn is no exception.

As the leaves change and the temperature begins to drop it is time to get outside and experience some of the top Norfolk Autumn walks to truly appreciate the county in this stunning season.

Coastal

As you walk through the stunning pine woodland to the sandy beaches of Wells Next To Sea you can experience one of the top Norfolk Autumn walks to Holkham.

Bypass the iconic beach huts of Wells and carry on until you reach Holkham and, while you’re there, why not go and explore the famous Holkham Hall in its Autumn splendour.

Norwich

There are some fantastic walks around Norwich and the beautiful city comes alive even more under it’s canopy of Autumn leaves.

Start off near Pull’s Ferry and explore the city away from the shops and crowds until you reach the beautiful Cathedral gardens on this stunning Norfolk Autumn walk.

Woodland

You cannot beat a brisk walk through the woodland in Autumn foraging for leftover blackberries and trying to find the elusive giant pine cone.

Luckily, Norfolk has a lot of great woodland walks on offer, and their scenery really does come to life in Autumn.

Grab a picnic and a thermos of hot coffee (or chocolate!) and head to Thetford Forest which has a number of great woodland walks or Burlingham Woods which has three types of walks.

Don’t forget to visit Sheringham Park. It is stunning in the Autumn months as well and has a number of walks and it is only a stone’s throw from a North Norfolk Railway Station.

Fen

Another one of the top Norfolk Autumn walks can be found in Strumpshaw Fen, it is an RSPB reserve with a long walk (some say to allow a whole day!) to meander through the stunning Norfolk countryside and appreciate the wildlife preparing themselves for the upcoming winter months.
