A real dinosaur adventure with life-size models, play areas and loads of cute creatures.

The aptly named Dinomite is stuffed with climbing nets, ball pools and enormous slides.

Their Dippy’s splash Zone has 31 water play features and you can even help the rangers on a hunt to locate a lone T-rex.

Choose from restaurant or picnic tables if you’ve brought your own food, for when you need a breather!

Number two on our list of top 7 play parks in Norfolk is the smart and well-kept HMS Invincible Play Park, which has spectacular views of the sea, perfect for parents to chill out while the kids run around!

There’s a beach, lighthouse and cliff top walk near this pristine play park in Happisburgh. Children can burn off energy using the zip wire before visiting the little cafe on the beach road. The park consists of a large ship made from wood with two slides and some bars.

All areas have plenty of bark underneath for safety.

Great park near Harleston town centre makes it number 3 out of the top 7 play parks in Norfolk

Harleston Recreation Park is a marvellous park with a range of equipment to keep children of all ages occupied.

There are toddler swings, a small bmx track, slides and climbing area including zip wire.

There are also tennis courts, a playing area with football goals and a cricket pitch, all only a short walk from the town centre.

Farmer Fred’s is at number 4 on our list of the top 7 play parks in Norfolk

Farmer Fred’s at Heacham has a good play area for babies to older children.

Small children are protected with a gate so they can’t get out.

Playtime is limited to 2 hours, but there is also an outdoor farm and park to visit where kids can enjoy a ride on a tractor.

Extensive cafe seating and reasonably priced menu.

It’s a wizardly number 5 for Hall Farm on our list of the top 7 play parks in Norfolk

Kids will have a great opportunity to use their imagination, get plenty of exercise and interact with other children at North Norfolk’s Wizard Maze and Play at Hall Farm, Metton.

There are plenty of picnic tables, sun umbrellas, food and drink available. It also has a spectacular maize maze which is open between mid-July and early September with a tractor train that goes every hour if you think you might get lost.

The jumping pillows are a particular favourite.

There are also Go Karts, swings, slides, chickens, sheep and a giant bale stack.

Waterloo Park

At number 6 on our list of the top 7 play parks is Waterloo Park, Angels Road, Norwich. This is quite a large park (18 acres in total).

It has play equipment suitable for children of all ages, including a water feature with fountains.

Melsop Farm Park at Scoulton features something a bit different.

There’s a big selection of rare breeds, including cattle, which children can pet (little ones might enjoy the guinea pigs better).

The grounds feature bridges over a large pond with lots of wildfowl for the children to enjoy.

There are a range of play facilities outdoors and indoors. Reasonably priced admission.
