There’s a march to remember the 50th anniversary of the stonewall riots, free poetry and music on St Gregory’s Green and a Pride party at Open Norwich with Peppermint from Rupaul’s drag race as the star performer.
There will also be plenty to do in the lead up to the day itself. including guerrilla knitting in the Forum on Saturday the 20th, and a showing of Bohemian Rhapsody at Cinema City on the 4th of July.

Comedy Kings and Queens will love this festival of laughter. From Thursday the 25th – Sunday the 28th of July, you’ll have the chance to take a sip of your favorite drinks in the idyllic Chapelfield Gardens. The lineup includes some famous faces from tv like Stephen K Amos, Lucy Porter and Phil Jupitus.
It’s also a perfect showcase for up and coming comedians that you’re sure to recognise in the next few years.
Lord Mayor’s Festival
Sunday July the 7th is another day where it’s all happening!
First of all, The Lord Mayor’s festival will feature its usual glorious procession during the day. But this time it will be without any lorries in order to be kind to the environment. Planners say that this has just made their entries even more creative as the streets are filled with costumes, music and puppets galore.
Other highlights across the weekend include fireworks, a paint party and the Norwich Duck Race. There’s also going to be the Norwich Lanes summer fayre celebrating all things local business. This will have a main stage at St Gregory’s Green and a street market all across the Norwich lanes.
Norfolk World Music Festival
Taking place in Burton Manor Barns in Southburgh, this festival will celebrate its first year with its new name with song, dance and lots of colour.
Taking place from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th July, it promises delicious food, blaring bands and creative workshops with something for everyone. There will be music from Cuba, Belfast and Zimbabwe. You can wash it down with chai tea or pimms, and eat fantastic food from African delights to veggie eats.
