Behind The Scenes
For the first time in it’s history Blicking Hall are inviting you for an up close and personal look at how they care for the magnificent house on your day out at Blicking Hall. They are opening the house up every day so you can watch the army of house keepers at work and they will even be on hand to answer your questions.
The Word Defiant!
Once you have immersed yourself in the splendour of the house why not check out the newest installation The Word Defiant! which celebrates the books that have previously been banned, burnt, neglected but never the less remained defiant. One that book lovers will not want to miss on your day out at Blickling Hall.
Food and drink
After the excitement of taking in the atmosphere of the surroundings on your day out at Blickling Hall it is time to refuel. Take your pick from three cafés on site which all offer seasonal food and drink. Perfect for quick stop before you set off to explore the rest of the grounds.
Secret Gardens
Whilst you enjoy walking around the stunning gardens of the estate on your day out at Blickling Hall keep your eyes out for the two secret tunnels in the garden that have been created. There are also daily garden tours where you may even get to learn a few green fingered tips from the team! Peruse the temple or the Orangery at your leisure.
Cycle
What better way to get around the hundreds of acres of parkland on the estate than by hiring a bike on your day out in Blickling Hall? You can soak up all of the historic landscape which has been cared for by the National Trust since 1940.
After your active day out at Blickling Hall it is time to head home, and don’t forget dogs are welcome so you can bring your four legged friend back with you next time!
