There really isn’t anything better than a day out at the zoo is there? It is something that everyone of all ages is bound to enjoy and we are lucky enough to have Banham Zoo practically on our door step!
Everyone has a favourite animal and chances are you will see it on your day out at Banham Zoo.
Plan the visit
Before you begin your day out at Banham Zoo, download a map and start planning which animals you want to see first!
The owls, farm animals and monkeys are located fairly close to the entrance, you can even hop on the road train!
You can also get one on arrival and our top tip is to pop along to the visitor centre to see what time the feeds/ talks are on, as well as when the range of experiences, such as feeding the meerkats, are on offer. Don’t forget to find out what time the tigers are being fed!
Medals
You can collect all of the stamps that are scattered at different points across the park, if you get them all you can cash them in for a medal at the end. It will bring out the competitive streak in all of the members of the family on your day out at Banham Zoo!
Picnic
No day out at Banham Zoo would be complete without a picnic! There are a number of spots you can enjoy sitting down and eating your lunch, as well as snack shacks, cafés and vending machines throughout the zoo as well.
There is even one area that looks out onto the animal enclosures, so you can watch the wonderful animals as you eat your cheese sandwich!
Adventure Play
When you’ve seen the penguins, got up close and personal in the fantastic giraffe paddock and meander through the butterfly house. After which it may be time to let off some steam. There is a great adventure playground for the kids and, for the thrill seekers amongst you, why not check out the Sky Trek and Junior Trek on your day out at Banham Zoo.
Gift Shop
As the day out at Banham Zoo comes to a close don’t forget to stop by the gift shop and pick up a memento of the day!
